Apart from the novel, comics scripts, a TV pitch, and sweating at the YMCA, I'm searching for long-term employment in my area. To keep my brain piece sharp, I am taking full advantage of my local library. Subjects researched lately include Japanese woodworking, military history, and graphic novels. To exercise analytical aspects of thought, I am following a along with "Breaking Out & Breaking In: A Distributed Filmfest of Prison Breaks & Bank Heists". From BLDGBLOG:

The overall idea is to discuss breaking out and breaking in as spatial scenarios that work as mirror images of one another, each process with its own tools, techniques, and unique forms of unexpected architectural expertise.
I have watched two of the films already and there is sure to be some though-provoking discussion on BLDGBLOG.

On the more active side, I'm in the process of getting together a plan for an overland journey by motorbike. First step, though, is getting a license. Then, the big purchase of a motorcycle. It's funny that I'm considering such a move—when I was an ornery bicyclist, I used to say that motorcyclists were doing it wrong, on account of the lack of pedaling. Form follows function, I suppose.
